I am fighting to change world where children are abused. I have come to understand abuse in the home is not the only abuse children face every day. They system abuses them even more often than what they face at home. The juvenile court system is outdated and cannot deal with the issues anymore. Now so many children are being tried as adults ignoring the scientific fact that until we reach our early twenties our brains are not finished growing. Family courts are overwhelmed and too often give custody to abusive parents punishing the parent who is trying to protect the child from the abuse.
In the nine years since my 12 year old grandson was murdered by his bio donor and stepmonster I have studied the phenomenon of child abuse and have been shocked to learn social services all around the country have failed and will continue to fail until they are held accountable and forced to follow their own rules.
